Section 11 (Engine Cooling System (1GR-FE)): Thermostat: Installation

- INSTALL WATER INLET
- Install a new gasket onto the water inlet with thermostat.
- Install the water inlet with thermostat with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
- CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )
- CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE (See REPLACEMENT )
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER
- Install the V-bank cover with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Install the V-bank cover with the 2 nuts.
