4WD model

  1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
  2. Remove the muffler (see 4WD MODEL ).
  3. Support the rear differential with a transmission jack, then remove the rear differential mounting bolts (A and B), and lower the rear differential (C).

  4. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (A), the hoses (B), the FTP sensor 3P connector (C), and the EVAP canister vent shut valve 2P connector (D).

  5. Remove the bolts (E) and the EVAP canister (F).
  6. Remove the EVAP canister vent shut valve (A) and the FTP sensor (B) from the EVAP canister (C).

  7. Reassemble the EVAP canister with new O-rings (D) and a new retainer (E), and new cap (F).
    NOTE: Do not coat the O-rings with oil.
  8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
