DTC 81: TPMS Control Unit Failure
NOTE:
Low battery voltage can cause this DTC. Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition (see BATTERY TEST
).
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II) again.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 81 indicated?
YES - Replace the TPMS control unit: '07-08 models (see REMOVAL ('07-08 MODELS) ), '09-11 models (see REMOVAL ("09-11 MODELS) ).
NO - The system is OK at this time. Check for loose terminals and poor connections at the TPMS control unit.
