ATF Cooler Hose Replacement

  1. Drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) (see ATF REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Install the ATF cooler hoses over the ATF cooler lines, and secure the hoses with the clips as in the details (A) (B) (C), shown in the following list. Keep the tab of the clip clear of other part.

    Details Cooler Hose End Installed Distance of Clip
    A Contacts the bulge on the line Between clip end and hose end: 6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in)
    B Contacts the bulge on the line of the ATF cooler Between clip end and hose end: 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 in)
    C 5-7 mm (0.20-0.28 in) away from the ATF filter housing (both sides) Between clip end and ATF filter housing both sides): 10-12 mm (0.39-0.47 in)
  3. Refill the transmission with ATF (see step  4 ).
