Fuel Fill Pipe Removal/Installation
- Relieve the fuel pressure (see FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING ).
- Drain the fuel tank (see FUEL TANK DRAINING ).
- Remove the fuel fill cap.
- Remove the fuel fill pipe cover (A) and the fuel fill cap adapter (B).
- Remove the left rear wheel and its wheel speed sensors (see REAR ).
- Support the rear differential (4WD model) and the rear axle beam with a transmission jack.
- Remove the flange bolts from the bottom of the rear damper/springs (see STABILIZER BAR REPLACEMENT ).
- Remove the rear differential (4WD model) (see REAR DIFFERENTIAL REMOVAL ) and the rear suspension subframe mounting bolts (see REAR SUBFRAME TORQUE ).
- Lower the transmission jack (A) and the rear differential or the axle beam.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the connecting parts.
- Disconnect the fuel fill tube (A) and the fuel vapor hose (B).
- Remove the fuel fill pipe (C).
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
