CESS Articulated Harness Test

  1. Remove the sliding door panel (see SLIDING DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the A connector (16P) (A) and B connector (8P) (B) from the sliding door wire harness.

  3. Disconnect the C connector (16P) (C) and D connector (8P) (D) from the floor wire harness.
    CONNECTORS SPECIFICATION

    A connector (16P)(1) C connector (16P)(1) B connector (8P)(1) D connector (8P)(1)
    A1 C4 B1 D1
    A2 C3 B2 D2
    A3 C7 B3 D3
    A4 C11 B4 D4
    A5 C13 B5 D5
    A6 C2 B6 D6
    A7 C9 B7 D7
    A8 (Not used) C16 (Not used) B8 D8
    A9 C1    
    A10 C15    
    A11 C14    
    A12 C6    
    A13 C12    
    A14 C10    
    A15 C5    
    A16 C8    
    (1) With power sliding door
  4. Check for continuity between the CESS articulated harness A connector (16P) and C connector (16P) terminals and B connector (8P) and D connector (8P) terminals.
