DTC 81: Continuous TCS Operation

NOTE: If the MIL or ABS indicator is ON, troubleshoot the PGM-FI or ABS first.

Clear the DTC (see step 1 on How to Clear ABS DTCs ).
Test-drive the vehicle.
Does the TCS indicator come on, and is DTC 81 indicated ?
1. YES - Replace the ABS/TCS control unit.
2. NO - Intermittent failure; the vehicle is OK at this time.
