Catalytic Converter Monitor and Readiness Code: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Honda Odyssey, 2003 Honda Odyssey, 2002 Honda Odyssey, 2001 Honda Odyssey, and 2000 Honda Odyssey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
  • Do not turn the ignition switch OFF during the procedure.
  • All readiness codes are cleared when the battery is disconnected or when the PCM is cleared with the OBD II scan tool or HDS.
  • Low ambient temperature or excessive stop-and-go traffic may increase the drive time needed to switch the readiness code from incomplete to complete.
  • The readiness code will not switch to complete until all the enable criteria are met.
  • If a fault in the secondary HO2S system caused the MIL to come on, the readiness code cannot be set to complete until you correct the fault.
