DTC P0125: ECT Sensor Malfunction/Slow Response
- Start the engine, and let it idle.
- Check the ECT with the scan tool or the HDS.
Is about 86°F (30°C) or less, or 2.61 V or higher indicated?
- YES - Go to step 3.
- NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check the thermostat and the cooling system.
- Let it idle for 6 minutes.
- Check the ECT with the scan tool or the HDS.
Is about 86°F (30°C) or less, or 2.61 V or higher indicated?
- YES - Replace the ECT sensor (see ECT Sensor Replacement ).
- NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check the thermostat and the cooling system.
