Without Power Tailgate

  1. Open the tailgate.
  2. Remove the tailgate trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TAILGATE AREA ).
  3. Disconnect the 2P connector from the actuator.

  4. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table shown in Fig 2. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

  5. If the actuator does not operate as specified, replace it.
