DTC P1359: CKP/TDC Sensor Connector Disconnection

  1. Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . Start engine. If engine will not start, crank engine continuously for at least 15 seconds. If DTC P1359 is indicated, go to next step. If DTC P1359 is not indicated, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires between 10-pin in-line connector located at right front shock tower, CKP/TDC sensor and PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair as necessary.
  2. Check for poor connections or loose wires between CKP/TDC sensor and PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair as necessary. If wires and connections are okay, substitute a known-good PCM and retest. See SUBSTITUTING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  . If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM. Perform final procedure. See FINAL PROCEDURE  .
