Wheel Sensor

The wheel sensor detects wheel rotational speed. Wheel sensor consists of a permanent magnet, coil and pulser (trigger wheel). As pulser rotates, the magnetic flux around the coil in each wheel sensor alternates, generating an AC voltage signal. Signal frequency is proportional to wheel rotation speed. These pulses are sent to the ABS/TCS control unit to determine wheel speed.
