TCS Control Unit Operation Modes
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
TCS operational modes are:
- Regular Mode: ABS and TCS systems operate normally. ABS and TCS indicator lights stay off.
- Fail-Safe Mode S1: ABS/TCS control unit turns system off by turning off fail-safe relay when ABS/TCS control unit detects a problem. ABS and TCS indicator lights will illuminate.
- Fail-Safe Mode A2: If ABS/TCS control unit detects a malfunction during TCS operation, it will turn off malfunctioning component, and continue to modulate rest of TCS system until completing TCS operation. At that time, TCS system will be turned off. TCS indicator light will illuminate and ABS indicator light will stay off.
- TCS Deactivate Mode: If front brake pad temperature becomes excessive, ABS/TCS control unit stops TCS system and turns TCS indicator light on. When brake pad temperature lowers, ABS/TCS control unit turns off TCS indicator light and restarts TCS system.
- TCS Off Mode: ABS/TCS control unit will turn off TCS system if ABS/TCS control unit detects problem with PGM-FI communication circuit, ABS system is faulty or TCS switch is turned off. If conditions return to normal, ABS/TCS control unit will restart TCS system. TCS indicator light will illuminate when TCS system is disabled. ABS indicator light will illuminate if ABS system is faulty.
