ABS system enhances maneuverability and stability of vehicle during stopping. ABS/TCS control unit controls slip rate of wheels to ensure maximum grip force from the tires. From wheel sensor signals, ABS/TCS control unit determines slip rate of each wheel. ABS/TCS control unit modifies slip rate by commanding modulator unit to increase, maintain or decrease brake fluid pressure to individual wheels.
