ABS Control Unit Operation Modes
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
ABS operational modes are:
- Regular Mode: ABS system operates normally. ABS and TCS indicator lights stay off.
- Fail-Safe Mode S1: ABS/TCS control unit turns system off by turning off fail-safe relay when ABS/TCS control unit detects a problem. ABS and TCS indicator lights will illuminate.
- Fail-Safe Mode A0: If ABS/TCS control unit detects a malfunction during ABS or TCS operation, it will turn off malfunctioning component and continue to modulate rest of ABS system until completing ABS or TCS operation. At that time, the entire system will be turned off until problem goes away. ABS and TCS indicator lights will illuminate.
- Fail-Safe Mode L0: ABS/TCS control unit stores DTC in back-up memory when it detects a problem. If a problem is detected when ignition switch is turned on, ABS/TCS control unit will turn ABS system off. ABS and TCS indicator lights will illuminate. If problem goes away, ABS/TCS control unit will turn ABS system on again.
- Fail-Safe Mode B0: ABS/TCS control unit will turn off system if ignition voltage drops, and will turn it on again when ignition voltage returns to normal. ABS and TCS indicator lights will illuminate.
