System Description

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2000 Isuzu VehiCROSS, 2000 Isuzu Trooper, 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, 2000 Isuzu Hombre, and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Fuel evaporative system operation is monitored by PCM/VCM. Engine vacuum is applied to system and monitored for leakage. PCM/VCM monitors vacuum in EVAP system with Fuel Tank Pressure sensor. Amount of engine vacuum is controlled by the EVAP Purge and Vent solenoids. If a specific amount of vacuum cannot be acheived or maintained, PCM/VCM will set DTC. Inspect above listed components for damage or poor connection.
