Component Tests: Speedometer

Pull out gauge assembly and disconnect gauge assembly 16-pin connector "B". See GAUGE ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. See Figure . Block one drive wheel and slowly rotate opposite wheel. Check voltage between ground and gauge assembly connector terminal B3 (Blue/White wire). If voltage pulses, replace speedometer. If voltage does not pulse, repair open in Blue/White wire between VSS and speedometer. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
