2000 Models

  1. Disconnect mode control motor 7-pin harness connector. Connect battery positive lead to mode control terminal No. 1 and ground terminal No. 7. See Figure . Connect one end of a jumper wire to terminal No. 7, and connect other end of same jumper wire to terminals No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in sequence. Each time connection is made, mode control motor should run smoothly and stop.
  2. Motor may not operate the first time jumper wire is connected to terminal No. 2, but it must operate when connected to terminal No. 2 the second time (restarting the sequence). If motor does not operate when jumper wire is connected to each terminal, check for binding door or door linkage. If door and linkage are okay, replace motor.
