Driver's Multiplex Control Unit

  1. Remove the underdash fuse/relay block. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Remove multiplex control unit from fuse/relay block. See Figure. Inspect connector terminal connection for bent, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, go to next step.
  2. Using a DVOM, check voltage between ground multiplex harness connector terminal A2. See Figure. With combination light switch on, battery voltage should be present. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check fuse No. 10 (15-amp) in underdash fuse/relay block. Check for faulty combination switch or open in wiring.
  3. Check multiplex harness connector terminal A7 for continuity to ground. Continuity should exist at all times. If continuity does not exist, check for an open in wiring or a poor connection at harness grounds G401 and G402. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary.
