Lights On Reminder System Input Test

  1. Remove left underdash fuse/relay block. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Remove driver's multiplex control unit from fuse/relay block. See Figure. Inspect connector terminal connection for bent, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, go to next step.
  2. Using a DVOM, check continuity between ground fuse/relay block socket connector terminal A14. See Figure. With driver's door open, continuity should exist. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check for faulty driver's door switch or open in circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary.
  3. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between ground and fuse/relay block connector terminal A13. See Figure. Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check for blown fuse No. 13 (15-amp) in underdash fuse/relay block or open in circuit. Repair as necessary.
  4. Turn on combination light switch. Check voltage between ground and fuse/relay block terminal A2. See Figure. Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is present, replace driver's multiplex control unit. If battery voltage is not present, check for blown fuse No. 10 (15-amp) in underdash fuse/relay block. Check for faulty combination light switch or open in circuit. Replace or repair as necessary. After repairs, check system operation.
