Both Power Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect 10-pin power mirror switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 9 of power mirror switch harness connector. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for an open in Yellow/Black wire between power mirror switch and fuse No. 7. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
  2. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminal No. 10 of power mirror switch harness connector and ground. If continuity does not exist, check for an open in Black wire between power mirror switch and ground. If continuity exists, check each mirror individually. See LEFT MIRROR INOPERATIVE or RIGHT MIRROR INOPERATIVE. Repair as necessary.
