Ignition Control Module: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Honda Prelude, 2000 Honda Civic, and 2000 Honda CR-V. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If MIL comes on, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article. Before preforming IGNITION CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST, ensure ignition, fuel and emissions systems are operating properly. Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located in distributor housing. See Figure-Figure .
NOTE: Manufacturer does not provide tests for ICM, they provide a series of input test to ensure rest of system is working properly before replacing components. If all tests check okay, ICM should be replaced.
