Wheel Sensor

Wheel sensor detects wheel rotation speed. Wheel sensor consists of a permanent magnet, coil and trigger wheel (pulser). As teeth on trigger wheel rotate past wheel sensor magnetic coil, an AC voltage is generated. AC frequency or pulses change proportional to wheel rotation speed. These pulses are sent to ABS control unit, which determines wheel speed.
