Trouble Code Identification Menu: Notes

PRELUDE PGM-CARB TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION CHART

Code (1) System Affected Probable Cause
1 Oxygen Sensor Open or shorted signal circuit
2 Vehicle Speed Sensor No VSS signal
3 MAP Sensor Electrical problem in MAP sensor
4 Vacuum Switch Signal Open or shorted circuit
5 MAP Sensor Mechanical problem in MAP sensor
6 Coolant Temperature Sensor Open or shorted signal circuit
8 Ignition Output Signal Open or shorted signal circuit
10 Intake Air Temperature (TA) TA sensor circuit problem
14 Elec Air Control Valve (EACV) Open or short EACV circuit
(1) If codes other than the above are indicated, repeat self-diagnosis. If code(s) reappear, substitute a known good ECU and recheck codes. If code(s) clear, replace ECU.
