Warning Light On, LED Does Not Flash Codes
- Turn ignition on. Disconnect MAP sensor 3-wire connector. If warning light is still illuminated, go to step 2). If light is not on, replace MAP sensor.
- If warning light flashes code for MAP sensor, replace MAP sensor. If not, reconnect MAP sensor connector. Turn ignition off. Connect system checker harness between ECU and ECU connectors. Disconnect "A" connector from ECU, not main harness. Check for continuity between terminal A7 and ground. If continuity exists, check for short in Yellow/White wire between MAP sensor and ECU terminal A7.
- If continuity to ground does not exist, turn ignition on. If warning light is on, repair short to ground in Yellow/Red wire between combination meter and ECU terminal A15. If warning light is not on, reconnect "A" connector to ECU. Jumper terminal A15 to terminal B8. If warning light does not come on, repair open in Brown/Black wire between ECU terminal B8 and ground.
- If light does come on, measure voltage between terminals B7 (pos.) and B8 (neg.). If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between ECU terminal B7 and No. 12 fuse or replace No. 12 fuse.
- If battery voltage is present, substitute a known good ECU. If condition is rectified, replace original ECU.
