Based upon input signals, the ECU maintains optimum vehicle operation for reduced emissions and improved performance and fuel economy. Output devices include the following:

• Air leak solenoid
• A/C idle boost solenoid
• A/T idle boost solenoid
• Air suction control solenoid
• Anti-afterburn control solenoid
• Cranking leak solenoid
• Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) relay
• Feedback control solenoid
• Frequency solenoid valves A and B
• Frequency solenoid valve C (A/T only)
• Primary slow mixture cut-off solenoid
• Vacuum holding solenoid
