Float Level

  1. Ensure vehicle is level. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Snap throttle between idle and 3000 RPM several times and then let engine idle.
  2. When fuel level stabilizes, check that it is centered in the inspection window. If fuel level is higher or lower than mark, adjust by turning the external adjusting screw. See Fig 1 .

  3. When correct float level is achieved, paint adjusting screw with White paint to aid visual inspection of adjustment screw location and to help prevent adjustment from changing.
