Manifold Air Pressure Sensor (Map Sensor)

  1. On Accord SEi models, disconnect vacuum hose No. 21 at throttle body. On CRX Si models, disconnect vacuum hose between MAP sensor and throttle body at throttle body. On all models, plug opening in the throttle body. Connect a hand vacuum pump to open end of vacuum tube.
  2. Disconnect harness connector from the control unit. Connect System Checker Harness Connector (07999-6000). Apply vacuum to MAP sensor and turn ignition switch on. Connect a digital voltmeter positive probe to C11 terminal of system checker harness and negative probe to C14 terminal. Measure voltage between the 2 terminals. Voltage should agree with chart shown in Figure . See Fig 1 & Figure .
