Coolant Temperature Sensor (TW Sensor)
The TW sensor uses a temperature dependent diode (thermistor) to measure differences in coolant temperature. Basic discharge read out is by signals sent from this sensor through the ECU. The resistance of the thermistor decreases with a rise in coolant temperature.
