Exhaust Emissions System - Crankcase Ventilation: Operation

During part throttle operation, blow-by gases are returned to intake manifold through breather tubes "A" and "B", and through fixed orifice and check valve. See Figure. When throttle is opened wider and vacuum in air cleaner housing rises, blow-by gases are returned to intake manifold and carburetor, drawing them into engine.
