Exhaust Emissions System - Crankcase Ventilation: Description

Honda uses a closed dual-return crankcase ventilation system. System consists of vapor separator (breather chamber), condensation chamber, a fixed orifice passage, a check valve, and a specially constructed air cleaner with various connecting hoses. The fixed orifice (in the 4-way fitting) is 0.039" (1 mm) diameter on CVCC engines and 0.035" (0.89 mm) diameter on non-CVCC engines.
