Removal & Installation

EBCM is located under right side of instrument panel above junction block. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate STEERING COLUMNS article in STEERING. Remove left kick trim panel. Disconnect all junction block electrical connectors and lamp driver module connector. Remove junction block. Disconnect EBCM connectors. Remove 3 bolts, EBCM and light driver module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
