Description & Operation
A permanent magnet motor operates each power window. A master switch assembly, located in driver's door, controls all of the power window motors. Power window controls for front windows are located in left front door arm rest. Remote power window controls for rear windows are located in center console. Individual power window controls are located near each passenger window.
If window lock switch, located in driver's door, is pressed to LOCK position, passenger windows cannot be operated. Press window lock switch to UNLOCK position to unlock windows.
AUTO DOWN feature permits driver's window to be fully opened without holding switch. Electronic Circuit Breaker (ECB) incorporated in window motor will stop motor at end of window travel.
With ignition switch in ON position, voltage is applied through POWER WINDOW CIRCUIT BREAKER (50-amp), to power window components. Components include, left front power window/door lock switch, remote rear power window switches, individual power window switches and power window motors. System ground is provided through left front power window/door lock switch at ground connection. Ground connection is located on firewall, behind center of instrument panel.
