Removal & Installation

  1. Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE. Drain engine coolant. Disconnect accelerator cable and cruise control cable (if equipped) from air cleaner assembly clip. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector. Remove air cleaner hose and cap from throttle body.
  2. Remove accelerator cable and TV cable (A/T) from throttle lever. Disconnect EVAP hose from throttle body. Disconnect Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connectors. Remove throttle body from intake manifold.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW throttle body-to-intake manifold gasket. DO NOT use sealer on gasket. Tighten 4 throttle body-to-intake manifold bolts to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m.). Refill engine cooling system.
