Reassembly & Installation

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Tighten throttle body screws to 31 INCH lbs. (3.5 N.m). To install, reverse removal procedure. Use new base gasket without sealer.
  2. Tighten throttle body-to-manifold bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 N.m). Refill cooling system. Adjust throttle position sensor. See THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR in ADJUSTMENTS article. Reconnect negative battery cable. Cycle ignition ON/OFF to pressurize fuel system. Check for fuel leaks.
