Circuit Description
During engine cranking, battery voltage is applied to PCM. Starter signal is mainly used to increase fuel injection volume for starting injection control. This signal is sent from Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch. If signal is not detected during ignition, PCM will still allow engine to start. DTC P1500 will set when:
- No signal is detected by PCM with starter engaged.
- Signal voltage is low at PCM while engine cranking.
- Signal voltage is high at PCM after engine starts.
