Neutral Safety Switch

NOTE: Neutral safety switch may also be known as Transmission Range (TR) switch.
  1. Set parking brake. Place gearshift in Neutral. Loosen neutral safety switch adjusting bolt. See Fig 1 . Align neutral basic line scribed in switch body with groove in switch sleeve. See Fig 1 .
  2. Hold switch at this position and tighten neutral witch adjusting bolt to 48 INCH lbs. (5.4 N.m). Ensure starter operates with transaxle in Neutral and Park only.
