Clearing DTCS
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to ECM, when clearing DTCs, ignition switch must be in LOCK position when disconnecting and connecting power to ECM.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable, or remove EFI F-HTR fuse in underhood fuse/relay block, for at least 10 seconds. ECM memory is now clear of DTCs. Connect negative battery cable or install EFI F-HTR fuse. If negative battery terminal is removed to clear ECM memory, clock and radio memory will also be erased. Use of EFI F-HTR fuse to clear ECM memory is preferred so clock and radio memory is saved.
