Functional Test
NOTE:
If vehicle does not function as specified, go to appropriate symptom test under SYMPTOM TESTS .
- Close and lock all doors. Insert door key into left front door lock and turn key clockwise one time to UNLOCK position. Only left front door should unlock.
- With door key in left front door, turn clockwise 2 times within 3 seconds to UNLOCK position. Remaining doors should unlock.
- With door key in left front door lock, turn door key counterclockwise to LOCK position one time. All doors should lock.
- Unlock all doors. Insert door key into right front door lock and turn key clockwise to LOCK position one time. All doors should lock.
- With door key in right front door lock, turn key counterclockwise to UNLOCK position one time. All doors should unlock.
- Open left front door and press left power door lock switch to LOCK position. All doors should lock.
- Press left power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. All doors should unlock.
- Open left front window and close left front door. Insert door key into left front door lock. Turn key counterclockwise to LOCK position. All doors should lock.
- Without opening left front door, reach through open window and press left front power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If all doors do not unlock, left front power door lock switch is inoperative.
- Manually unlock left front door by pulling up on left front door lock knob. Press left front power door lock switch to LOCK position and then to UNLOCK position. All doors should lock and then unlock when left front power door lock switch is pressed.
- Open left front window and close left front door. Insert door key into left front door lock. Turn key counterclockwise to LOCK position. Without opening left front door, reach through open window and turn ignition switch to ON position. Press left front power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. All doors should unlock.
- After performing appropriate diagnostic procedure(s) and making repairs, repeat FUNCTIONAL TEST to ensure system is operational.
