Clutch Assembly: Installation

  1. Use clutch centering tool to center clutch disc on flywheel. If replacing pressure plate, transfer match mark from old pressure plate to new pressure plate so balance is maintained. Tighten pressure plate bolts alternately and evenly in a diagonal pattern to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  2. Apply a small amount of grease to release fork contact surfaces, release bearing and hub. Lightly lubricate clutch disc splines using Lubricant (1051344). Ensure weight on front mount is facing transaxle. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
