Chart C-1A, Electrical Load Idle-Up Diode Circuit Check: Notes

Engine Control Module (ECM) receives an idle-up signal from electrical load idle-up diode. This signal is present when one or more of the following systems is turned on or operated:

Parking lights.
Rear window defogger.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.

Checks for electrical load idle-up signal to ECM.
Checks for an open or a short to voltage in Black wire, or a faulty ECM or a faulty electrical load idle-up diode.
