Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

VSS is an electronic relay mounted on transaxle. As transaxle rotates VSS, voltage pulses are provided to speedometer. The speedometer converts the vehicle speed input into a wave form and provides ECM and cruise control module (if equipped) with its own vehicle speed input. This pulse is converted by ECM and interpreted as vehicle speed.
