Removal & Installation

EBCM is located under right side of instrument panel above junction block. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in STEERING COLUMN article under STEERING. Remove left kick trim panel. Disconnect all junction block electrical connectors and lamp driver module connector. Remove junction block. Disconnect EBCM connectors. Remove 3 bolts, EBCM and lamp driver module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
