Throttle Valve Cable: Notes
Ensure throttle valve is fully closed on 4-speed transaxle and wide open throttle on 3-speed transaxle. Adjust Throttle Valve (TV) cable housing so distance between end of outer cable boot and cable stopper is 0-0.04" (0-1.0 mm). See Fig 1 . Tighten TV cable adjusting and lock nuts to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).

Use following procedure if installing new throttle valve cable.
