Throttle Position Sensor Component Test

  1. Disconnect electrical connector at Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), located on side of throttle body. Note TPS terminal identification. See Fig 1.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals in relation to specific throttle position(s). Refer to TPS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Replace TPS if resistance is not as specified.
