Throttle Position Sensor Component Test
- Disconnect electrical connector at Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), located on side of throttle body. Note TPS terminal identification. See Fig 1.
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals in relation to specific throttle position(s). Refer to TPS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS table. Replace TPS if resistance is not as specified.
