Vehicle Speed Sensor

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is an electronic relay mounted on transaxle. As transaxle rotates VSS, voltage pulses are provided to speedometer. The speedometer converts the vehicle speed input into a wave form and provides ECM and cruise control module (if equipped) with its own vehicle speed input. This pulse is converted by ECM and interpreted as vehicle speed.
