Neutral Safety Switch

  1. Set parking brake. Place gearshift in NEUTRAL position. Loosen neutral safety switch adjusting bolt. See Fig 1 . Align neutral basic line scribed in switch body with groove in switch sleeve. See Fig 1 .
  2. Hold switch at this position and tighten neutral switch adjusting bolt to 17 ft. lbs. (23 N.m). Ensure starter operates in NEUTRAL and PARK positions only.
