Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

CMP sensor is a signal generator (pick-up coil and magnet) and a signal rotor. CMP sensor is located in the distributor housing. A pulsing signal is sent to ECM, where it is used to calculate engine speed. Signal is also used as input to determine energizing of fuel injector.
