Wipers Operate At High Speed; Switch In LO Position

  1. Unplug wiper motor connector. Turn ignition on. Set wiper/washer switch to LO position. Using a DVOM, check resistance in Blue/White wire between wiper motor connector and ground. If resistance is less than infinite, go to next step. If resistance is infinite, replace wiper motor.
  2. Unplug wiper/washer switch connector. Check resistance between wiper/washer switch terminals No. 6 (Blue/Red wire) and No. 8 (Black wire). If resistance is less than infinite, replace wiper/washer switch. If resistance is infinite, repair short to ground in Blue/White wire between wiper motor an wire/washer switch.
