Code 51, ECM Failure, ECM Failed Or EEPROM Failure

Ensure all ECM connections are good. If connections are okay, clear memory and recheck ECM. If Code 51 reappears, replace ECM and reprogram.

If ECM is faulty and must be replaced, NEW ECM must be programmed.

After repairs, confirm closed loop operation, no codes and no Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
